Todd Scheel - Owner/President
As the owner of Exciting Events I get excited when I am able to interact with my clients. I continually strive to offer my clients the latest in technology, as well as innovative ideas to make their event spectacular. Whether I am providing music for a wedding or reving up 18, 000 fans at the Bradley Center seeing what music and special effects can do to people is great! I am continually looking for ways to put energy into everyone’s event. Whether it is lights, music or special effects, that is what truly keeps me going.
Richard Scheel - Vice President/Controller
Dick Scheel joined his son in 1987 at the conception of the business. Having the business run out of his home, Dick was closely involved with the company and started the companies accounting department. With a passion for carpentry and an eye for detail, he then proceeded to design and create the companies road gear and storage devices. He then retired in 1992 from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation as a Civil Engineer and joined our team full-time. Incorporating his engineering skills, Dick works closely with our fabricators and designs, and takes Todd's wealth of ideas from blueprints to full blown productions.
Julie Szyba - General Manager
Julie officially joined Muzic in Motion’s team in 1989. But, being Todd’s sister, both she and her family have been helping out in some way or another since day one. Julie oversees the day-to-day operations of the company and is responsible for the motivation and management of our full-time staff. After having her first child in 2000, she made the leap from full-time manager to full-time Mom. Julie has maintained her full-time responsibilities on a part-time basis. From processing contracts, to planning corporate retreats, she creates a pleasant work environment for both our customers and our employees. Be sure when she answers the phone and says, “It’s a great day at Muzic in Motion,” she means it.
Ed Buchner - Operations Manager
Back in 1990 I was just another DJ. Now look at me. I am the King of the World! Well at least all the employees think so (wink-wink). Mostly I am in charge of the day to day operation of the company (though you would never be able to tell that from my official job description). I route the trucks, schedule the employees and make sure the right equipment gets to the job.
Josef Leutner - Production/SFX Manager
Josef worked at building a career for himself at a few different places, but none of them were just right. He joined our staff in 1990.  He has an eclectic background that fits his role her perfectly.  Josef has been an auto body mechanic, a landscaper, a chef, an automotive mechanic, and a machinist “running machines at 6000 rpm – he says grunting proudly”. When Todd heard of Josef’s mechanical ability the time was right. So he signed on with the best team building props and maintaining equipment.  Josef spends much of his time in our manufacturing department machining and engineering each and every product, to bring you a quality product he is proud of.
Michelle Hale - Wedding/Corporate Event Coordinator
Michelle, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, is a part of the amazing sales team here at Exciting Events. After five long years of switching her major 5 times, she finally graduated in May 2008 with a Communication major with a Journalism emphasis. Being raised in a small town, Michelle searched for a big city and found Milwaukee to be her landing place, even though she hopes for New York City someday! Michelle always had a passion for event planning and weddings and found Exciting Events to be a great match. Michelle is determined to provide the great services we offer with a big smile and you leaving happy. When Michelle is not working hard in the office she is outdoors being active. Her favorites are running, rollerblading, fishing with her three brothers and dad, laying out in the sun at the beach, and even watching the Packers in -4 degree weather.
Shelly Bertholf - Non Profit Event Coordinator
Shelly has been involved in non-profits since 2003 and continues to be an active member within our community. Currently serving on two boards including YP Impact and Strut 4 a Cure, Shelly continues to make a difference amongst local non-profits. Shelly’s two degrees in business combined with her strong background in supporting non-profits makes her an asset to the numerous non-profits in which we work with and our Exciting Events team. Her hobbies include participating in fashion events, working out and relaxing with her family and friends.
Dan Cole - Fx Sports Sales/MC
Dan is the wild and crazy guy you will speak with on the phone, who is truly living the dream.  Dan has been a catalyst in the sporting world getting our products in the public eye and on the floors of 23 of the 30 NBA teams, 43 NCAA colleges, Major League Baseball, arena football, and the world famous Harlem Globetrotters.  He likes long walks and the beach, candlelit dinner, and cozying up by the fire.  Sorry ladies, he is taken.  For all your in game entertainment needs, don’t hesitate to give this guy a call. 
Geoff Taylor - Production/MC
Geoff has been in the wedding industry for almost 8 years. Originally started out as just a DJ, Geoff quickly worked his way up to MC. He brings a different sense of style to every event. The bald guy with the flame shoes, as he is more commonly know as. Geoff is now part of our production staff, making sure each events runs smoothly.
When he is not working in the office, or out performing at your event. Geoff likes to be outdoors, in the summer you can find him on the lake with his sailboats and wave runners, or just relaxing in his pool. When it gets to cold to do that, he then bundles up and hits the slopes.
